meet the founder

Hi I’m Helen (her/she) graphic designer for bold, independent fashion, lifestyle and creative brands.

When I’m not designing or geeking out over fonts or colour combinations, you can mostly find me with my two girls, crafting or playing dress up (them not me), while secretly dreaming about the next travel destination.

With over 10+ years of design industry experience, including two years in Tokyo as well as working for brands such as Whistles, Miss Selfridge and The Bodyshop in the UK and a 1st hons degree in Design Communication, I’ve learnt a thing or two about what it takes to design brands that stand out, showcase products and entice people to join a brand’s mission and community.

A blended niche of –

motherhood & design

I loved working as an in-house designer for the fashion industry, but once I had a family, squeezed by childcare costs, inflexible working hours and a lengthy commute, it was impossible to go back.

I could see other mothers facing similar dilemmas and rethinking their career choices as a result (motherhood is the ultimate perspective changer!).

These women were re-writing their options by using their talents to build dream businesses that supported the kind of life they wanted to live. One which created space for raising a family without the need to sacrifice their ambitions.

These women were perfectly positioned to see gaps in the mum and baby market and create businesses that were fashion, child or family focused as a result.

I knew then that these were the women I wanted to offer my services, to support and uplift through the power of design.

So here we are!

We’re all about making design a fun and collaborative process and as stress-free for you as possible. To do this, we always follow a process so you know exactly what to expect when working with us:

For us, design is about asking open and honest questions and listening to a diverse range of perspectives and expertise before working on a solution. We like to include our clients in the process so that they feel listened to and are never left in the dark.
We pride ourselves on having our finger on the pulse but that doesn’t mean a relentless pursuit or imitation of what’s out there or already been done. Exploration and play are a huge part of our design process and we’ll always strive to find new and exciting ways to visually communicate and idea.
Hopefully you can tell at this point that empowering women goes without saying! We want to see an end to the ‘motherhood’ gap, a financial penalty women face for choosing to have children. We’re here to help more women get seen, take up space and achieve financial freedom.
Regardless of gender, orientation or life choices we treat everyone with the same respect. You don’t have to be a mother to work with us or female for that matter. But we do have a preference for businesses and brands which support and empower the female cause.
